More and more I'm meeting clients who say- "It's not that I don't like having my picture taken. I'm just not photogenic."
Last time I checked, there are two definitions for that word.
Photogenic:
- looking attractive in photographs or on film.
- producing or emitting light.
The first is what you see all over magazines and Pinterest. It is the product of good genetics and even better posing, studio lighting, and well, lots and lots of Photoshop.
The second definition has a biological application which I'm sure is very interesting to biologists.. :)
I believe it also applies to what I do. It has nothing to do with what you look like but rather how you choose to connect and love those around you. It creates a glow that cannot be recreated or duplicated. This is what makes your session completely your own.
I have yet to meet a senior, couple, or family that wasn't undeniably photogenic. Those magazine photographers can eat there hearts out because I have the best clients in the whole world. They love! They connect! And they choose each other (& hopefully me) year after year, milestone after milestone.
I cannot wait to meet sweet Flora in a week! I pray for a smooth and safe labor and delivery for both Momma and baby.
