“Gratitude requires awareness and effort not only to feel it but to express it.” – Bonnie D. Parkin
Every November I cut strips of paper and each day, as a family, we write what we are thankful for on them. When its time to decorate our Christmas tree, I loop the strips together to form a chain. This gratitude chain is the focal point of our tree. It also helps to create a focal point for our holiday season. It acts as a reminder and helps us to keep our eyes fixed on the true reason for the season and the power of giving.
I wanted to use this post as an extension of my gratitude chain tradition… & challenge you all to create a gratitude journal of your own- to feel and express how blessed you truly are! I promise it will be both an eye opening and joy invoking exercise. I know it has been for me!
I am thankful for…
Good smelling candles.
Opportunities to learn and grow.
Binge worthy tv shows.
And so much more…
Thank you for making 2020 better and brighter! I could not have gotten through it without each and all of you. Happy Holidays all!
